Belly Button Bashfulness

Olivia has been obsessed with her one-piece swimsuit this summer because she hates showing her belly button. I have no idea how this came about, and I don't think anyone said anything to her about it. Maybe she sees that I'm always in one-pieces, and children are natural copycats. Olivia in particular will say things Mila said word for word, and copy every motion of hers as well. So I can see that.

But no matter what I say, she usually refuses to put this cute little blue number on, and if she does, she'll hold her arm over her tummy. It's so funny seeing that with a four-year-old. I think she's warming up to the idea of people seeing her stomach because Mila is all about the bikini now, but look how bashful she is! What a silly little girl! She just thinks belly buttons are funny-looking.

And Mila's reasoning for bikinis over one-pieces? When she needs to pee, she can take the bottoms off much easier than a whole wet swimsuit. Smart, right? That girl has always been pretty practical.
